anybody have a spear one? . i wonder does audi's engine heater fit to my -87 924s? Some one said that cost 'bout 150euros and that sounds quite expencive to me. I think it should be near 100$? I bought that porsche from Germany but in Finland we need engine heaters. in January there will be something like -25celsius so I think i'll be needing one.

Hey! and 'bout the power steering... I wonder that should there be a powersteering in every 924s? I searched under the hood but I couldn't even find the pipes that should come from the pump.. I don't know... I bet that porsche should be quite impossible to drive without power steering if there should be one. I bet that it should be quite stiff...

Ari, as per the power steering the 924/931 never came with it, the 924S (87/8 did come factory with it, however there are a few places that do have the pwer steering delete kits as imo they aren't needed on these cars, not enough rubber or weight to justify it.

Anybody ever try to put 944 power steering into an early 924/931?

I tried to do figure out how to do it when I was stripping a 944.

I gave up when I realized that the only place I could mount the pump would be in the A/C compressor's place.

I'd rather have the A/C.

My 931 with 205/55x16 tires is a bear to turn at low speeds, plus I'm on my 2 ond steering shaft.

Why would you want to? I've seen a whole bunch of people swap 944 PS racks for the early 944 non-PS racks because of the better feel, but I have never heard of anyone going the opposite direction. Most people want to delete the PS system and lose the weight and the drag on the engine.
