Thank you for the kind words. The pictures as reproduced are not indicative of how the car really looks. I have since put in the yellow side markers.

The color is the strong point Polar silver.

If there is anyone out there that wants to do this conversion let me know. The reason being that you will not find rocker panels for the space between the front and rear flares. GT Racing does not have them and neither does anyone that I know of.

My buddy suggested baseboard heating panels. I bought two sets at Home
Depot. I only used the large panels and the smaller two in. panels. Weld the two in to the bottom of the larger panels. Hammer down the top folded metal so that it will fit under the depression under the door jamb. Cut to fit and weld. Grind the welds flat and paint. Sound easy but it took time to get a good look.

The result is amazing. Looks just like my 944 rockers. Cost $30.

I have some pictures available.

Vince, I am very interested in the body mods! My question for now is where did you get the Euro pads at, cost?

How far back can the front and rear bumpers go once the shocks are drained? What method is used to collapse the bumpers?

I like the nice work you did however I am leaning towards 924DP fenders and front end over the 944 fenders aka GTS body for aerodynamic reasons.

Any input is appreciated Vince! TIA! Dallas

Large Euro rubbers for the bumper are in my garage. $50 for two. I have two sets in good condition.

As for the shocks drill a hole in the last two inches or cut off the last two inches and the oil will drain. Push in the piston and weld or bolt the two together. Simple and neat.

GT Racing has the flares and hood scoop as do others.

If you are really interested in a DP conversion email me and I will send you pictures of one the 16 DP cars still alive.

Have you done much interior work? I can't get over how good the car looks. I think you have acheived a look that alot of 924/944 owners strive for.

The interior has a roll bar, harness bar, harnesses, gutted of all vinyl and sound proofing, Euro 16/8 tranny 944 suspension, bla, bla, bla.

The best mod is the MOMO 380 mm steering wheel and the 400mph dash top in black.

I am waiting for Neil to send the door panels in black, recover a sport seat and of course the MOMO race seat.

wow what a change I would really be envious if
it happend to be the same
color of yellow that mine is.

Feeling, expressing, or characterized by envy: “At times he regarded the wounded soldiers in an envious way.... He wished that he, too, had a wound, a red badge of courage

"a red badge of courage" I'll just take the medals, thank you very much.
No need to go bleeding to prove you are brave. But I guess in war it would be proof you were in the mix.
