I just bought a new Wooden Gear Shift knob off of ebay for my 78 924. Its way to small to fit on the rod. Is there any kinnda adapter I can use to make it fit ?

bitter idea, take a hacksaw,/angle grinder and shim down the edges of the shaft so it will almost fit in the hole then tap and die w/ appropriate thread

You can buy an adapter kit for the 924 at performanceproducts.com, it costs like 15 U.S. bucks. The item number is 912690.
