| As im sitting here at work. My car is having a new exhaust system installed. Its costing me about 350 CDN and the resonator, piping, muffler and exhuast tip is being replaced and installed. I have been putting this off for awhile and on friday the plate on the back of my muffler dissconnected from the mufflers body which made for one REALLY loud ride. It was fun I guess for a day or two sounding like a rally car but I will be happy to get rid of the droning, rattling and painfull sounds of the old one. Maybe I can hear my cdplayer for a change. Im just bored at work and waiting till I can pick up my car and see how it sounds. |

| Got the car back and was quite pleased and suprised at how quite it sounds. It looks okay, it has a small stainless steal tip at the exhaust outlet. It was cheaper then any cat-back system I could have bought locally and should do me fine for the time being. I did notice that my idle speed is down alot. It needs to be changed to compensate. I know I have a vacume leak and bad wires (both being shipped) but my idle this morning was a rough 900 and now its a very rough 500. It may jus be the idle screw but I will try and play around with it a bit later. |
