| On a hill not so steep my 2003 Grand am was inching down the hill as I got out. Ever few seconds the car would move a couple of inches. When I got back in It was like I was hit from behind. The whole car shakes and it goes down in front {perhaps just from the hill}. It does this in 1st and reverse. My car has a "ring" you pull up to get the car into reverse so it was in gear. The last few months I have thought that the cars front end was in bad shape. VERY clunky and the front tires are worn badly, like I was racing it. Although I do drive the car relativly hard, it was bought 7 months ago and these problems are just the latest. The gas gauge fluctuates, the gauges in the dash wouldn't work untill the car was shut off and restarted. There is a crack somewhere in the exhaust or at least a problem, for every now and then it sounds very loud and throaty, {it should not}. Well you have your work boys and girls, any brave souls? O yeah, I have both driver side tires leaking at about 1 1/2 lbs per day. Yes I will replace them. |

This is an easy one. Your car is a 2003, and is undoubtedly under warranty. They pay trained professional mechanics to solve these problems at your local dealership. Take it there. _________________ Jon Furst |

| Yes, but with all of these problem I'm sure they will point to me as "the kid who beats up cars" A few guys I have talked to said they had to replace their front suspension just months after buying thew car. But I guess any work done will have to be by the dealership. Any clue about the limping forward? |

It sounds like your engine is turning, which is why it lurches forward in short steps (you'll understand this if you've ever had to turn a closed engine by hand). Usually, this will only happen on quite steep hills. Use your parking brake...always. _________________ Jon Furst |

| It happened in my driveway. Which is not steep at all, just a slight incline. |

could also be the clutch disc slipping, I would take it to the dealership and have them look at regardless of what they link of you, remember they have to prove you physically broke it, ie hacksaw cut on front springs _________________ 3 928s, |

| I have seen Pontiacs new adverts on the tellivision. Racing through city streets, revving the motor to redline, spinning wheels, sliding sideways ect.. So I suppose they can't complain. |
