Has anyone previously measured the 931 combustion chamber before, and still have the numbers kicking around?

If not, I'm going to attempt this with a 10cc syringe, laser level, and alot of eyeballing to make sure the water level doesn't rise above the chamber.

Any comments, advice or questions before I do this?

Don't need the laser level. Use a flat piece of plexiglass with a small hole drilled in it for adding liquid. Seal plate to the head lightly w/ grease. Don't forget to take the valves out and grease the sealing edges. Wipe off any excess grease. And of yeah, don't use water. Try de-natured alcohol.

I was going to use the level to make sure the head was perfectly level, but I guess it wouldn't have to be if I used your plexiglass technique I have plexi and axle grease in abundance, so I'll try this today.

As for the valves, the total combustion chamber volume will include the valves, and the head I'm using was from a parts car with a blown headgasket, so I'm not too worried about a little water getting in there.

Stay tuned

Add color to the liquid to make it easier to see.
