I was giving this some thought after driving my car. The shifter is okay, I need to tighten it up at the lever end a little, but it seems to move awfully far, and etc. How about machining an almunimym gate for the shifter arm that could sit in place of the external boot? You know, like they have in those fancy leather and chrome high end sports cars. Anyone have the travel measurements for the Audi 16/9 five speed? If anyone is interested I will see how possible this is, and maybe post pics or have more than one made.
Also, is there a way to reduce the amount of travel the clutch pedal has without reducing the amount the release bearing moves? The car shifts wonderfully, but you have to push the clutch in so far. I know the gas pedal in some of these cars use a cam, something similar for the clutch? _________________ 82 924 N/A -
