Having fuel delivery problem i cant figure out. I have 2.5lbs pressure into my brand new webers, running 55f9 idle jets. brand new msd system, gets great spark at all cylinders, i pulled the plugs and they were sparking great. Everything is new, new pump, pressure regulator, carbs, ignition module, wires, cap, rotor, plugs. New Timing belt and the timing is matched to the marks. I cant even get it to fire at all now, not even spraying starting fluid into the carbs... Im at a loss.... Any suggestions? I know it has something to do with the fuel.. It has to be. At least I think |

if it isn't even firing with either I would say timing is off or 180 deg off _________________ 3 928s, |

Did you do a compression check to verify your cam timing is actually as it should be? _________________ Glenn Neff

| Finally it fired up. Running pretty rough though, now the fun part, adjusting the carbs... gotta run to the store and pick up a timing light too. Drove it around the yard, but it can barely make it up the hill... no power at all. |

| dont laugh... the plugs i put in had the little aluminum washers on them, i took them off and then it fired, but wouldnt stay running unless the car turned over, turns out that switched wire that goes into the ignition was bad also, so i hooked it up to a toggle swith and she fired up and stayed running, though coughing and spitting. Finally got it to idle ok, but as soon as the accelerator was pressed the carbs would spit again and bog right down. I let it idle for about 20 min or so while working with the carbs and smoke started coming out from behind the engine, i figured it was just oil on the exhaust, then i noticed the smoke coming out quite heavily from the rear passenger fender, which i though was odd... still havent figured out what that was. |
