I want to put my son in the back seat but there are no belts.
Has anyone ever seen belts in the back and is it possible to install them now?
And no, the avitar is not my son. :)

I got some 3 point seatbelts for the rear of my 924 because I felt that the lap belt gave too much leeway for my 3 year old. They work great.

Actually, soes anyone know when they started installing seat belts in the back seats? My 87 924S had (what I assume were) stock rear seat belts.

My 80 931 has lap belts in the back. It may have been 80 or 79 that they started.
All I know is that my car has them, and if you're not wearing them, they stick into your sides

all 924 have the nuts and hols for the belts just some years didnt actually install them, what you can do is get the belt assembly out of another 924 and then locate the spot where they should be pop a hole through the carpet and re-tap the holes to clean them and bolt the belts in.

melon, where did you finally get your 3-point rear belts? I remember you were having real problems finding some at a reasonable price.

I have two rear seat belts that I am not using being that my wife does not want to ride in the rear of my car anymore. She claims her knees keep hitting her chin when I go over bumps.

Email me.

I got them from "John h" for a great price and in perfect condition

For any one with young kids I recommend trying to see if he has anymore 3 point seatbelts they are great.

The 924 had a US recall specifically to install the rear seat belts. However, I am not certain what years were affected or if the recall is still valid.

I got universal 3-point static belts for £16 each from a local car shop, could have had inertia reels for a little extra but didn't really need them... install is easy enough, hole's & nuts are there, though the ones under the center were a little tricky as I had to cut the leatherette for the bolt to pass through, did this with a hot blade so it didn't split.

Where did you 3-point owners install the top bolt? I see a small hole that is plugged in approximately the correct location. Is that a secure anchor point? I have a spare set of front seat 3 point belts. Will they work?
