So anyway I went to go and put insurance on the car and holy hell does the 928 cost alot to insure, now I am glad I dont have an S4

it is costing me $3680 for 1 year with collision and comp, that = out to payments of $320 a month for insurance, that is with a 20% safe driving discount, they are really nailing us young drivers up here, and heck I am only paying $323 per month for the loan, I really didn't expect it to be that much, as my buddy has a brand new truck and his insurance payments aren't nearly that high.

oh and I was out with it the other night, and I pulled up to a red ligh waited for it to turn green, just as it was about to I noticed a cop coming up to be turning and he would be right behind me, so I said to my friend F*CK, I am pulled over, sure enough I go from the line, (no leaping start), and not speeding didn't even get up to 40kmp (limit 50) lights on the cop go on, he didn't even have time to run the plate for F sake, so I pull over and get out all the papers, he comes over and said he stopped me causemy N was on my licence plate, but he hadn't seen the permit till he had already turned on his lights, so then he sucked up, and said "so is this car going to get you into alot of trouble" and basically started asking questions about the car, and 2 min later we were off again. but jesus haven't even had the car 2 days and I am getting pulled over for nothing,

and the reason the N was on the licence plate is because the rear section is fiberglass, and wont stick to it and I haven't been able to get to the DMV to get a window slip for it.

Wow, that is expensive insurance.

I just switched my 924 insurance to a collector car policy. Costs me $119 for the entire year.

Of course, a 924 isn't nearly as fast or valuable as a 928...

and I honestly have to say the can handles better the the 924 due to the dual a arm up front and the wider stance

thats crazy, Im pretty sure BC has LOW insurance rates compared to the east coast canada. I think I payed about $600 with a %5 discount for safe driving for 6 months under full coverage.

Nova Scotia {me} has the highest premiums in the country. For a 2003 Grand Am I'm paying $5,000 a year.

That was $120 for the entire YEAR, not per month, anyone with a 924 who doesn't put more than 5000 km on it in a year needs to look into collector car insurance.

i am not the primary driver on it but it is like about 2500-3000 a year. I pay the least out of all my friends for insurance. My friend has like 6grand a year for his mercury tracer cause his dad has been in mad accidents. I get safe driver, good student, defensive driving and some other discounts.

Im thinking, while I still live at home, I will transfer my insurance onto my parents policy and then pay them back. My car applies for collectors plates but it needs to be the second car on my policy. Insurance on my policy 1000 or so a year, or 300 with collectors plates.
