Hi
New to this board, but impressed so far!
I have a 1980 931 that needed some headwork done to it and now that it is all together I am having a hard time remembering all of the details of the Intake manifold installation ie different stud and bolt lenghts go to what position, bracket mounting points. Any how I would be very grateful if some of you would post a few pictures of your intake manifolds to help me put her back together, close ups work for me just fine.
The parts listing from porsche show all of the different part # but calls them all 13 in the picture...DDOOHHHH
Thanks in advance

I didn't remove the head when I did my recent work, but here are some photos that might (maybe?) help with the bigger picture.

This is probably what you really need...
Scans from the factory manual of the 1980 model plumbing:
and the 81-82:
Click the above photos for full-size images
I have some other photos that I didn't post on the site, but they are all pretty much the same...different angles of the engine compartment before and during my refurbishment. I didn't take step-by-step photo sequences as I removed stuff. I can sort through the other photos and post or e-mail them if you'd like. Or, I can take some photos this weekend showing close-ups of the finished work.
Mine's a '79 Euro-spec and won't have the engine management electronics that the later models have and don't know if the plumbing differs. Consequently I don't know if my particular car will have what you are interested in. And... I have nothing to offer with the head removed. Post back, e-mail or PM me with requests if you are interested. Not a problem to take snapshots as long as you don't want me to dismantle everything as the car is back on the road and running fine now. _________________ '79 Eurospec 931 |

i'm doing this from memory-
where #1 is the front of the car:
#1 bolt has ground strap
#1 & #2 bolts have the small engine lift bracket
#3 bolt has a small bracket that is a mount for the injection lines (a clamp that goes around the fuel lines attaches to this bracket)
#3 & #4 studs have the larger engine bracket
the top bolt on the distributor is longer and has the two wastegate lines mounted to it plus a clamp for the wiring harness
so #1 #2 #4 bolts are short, #3 bolt is long
#1 #2 studs are short, #3 #4 studs are long
top dizzy bolt is long
seems like there was something else on the longer intake manifold bolt to necessitate it being longer. i'll try to get some pics of up of mine in various states of disassembly.
