help help help, I hope one of you guru's knows the answer to this.

I have been trying to adjust the idle on my DITC equiped '82 931 as described in the haynes manual. I noticed that placing the air temp sensor in a cool place made no differance to the way the timing seemed to be set, or the way that the engine runs, so I measured the resistance between the 2 connectors in the sensor, and got a reading of 0 (zero) i.e. a bridged connection. Could the sensor be faulty ?, how do I test it ?, what should the resistance between the 2 pins be at about 20c ?, does it increase with temperature, or decrease ?

Thanks

Kev
