Does anyone know the answer to this.....do I have to remove the fender to install a new power antenna.....I can't see any other way (duh)....

No; at worst, remove the wheel and you should have enough room.

No, but you will need to remove the wheel, place the car on a jack stand, and unbolt and move the black cannister out of your way.

You will need to remove all children from the work area as there will be a lot of cursing involved in this project. Working in the wheel well is not a lot of fun and installing the bracket and rubber grommet may test your patience

As a tip, I used the original antenna wire rather than try and thread the new one into the car.

I will be doing this project again (on the 924S) in the near future and I'm not looking forward to it at all.

hey, Thanks Guys........I like the statement about removing "all children from the area". Stu.........I can identify with that as many a project has come up where the neighbors must think I have a very dumb helper....I have been Known to shout "YOU STUPID SON OF A B----"....(talking to myself of course)...........
