I installed the 944 brake system, bought and mounted 7 and 8 in Fuchs and installed the GT flares.
The 7s are fine but the rear 8s with 215 rubber on them rubs a little on one side. Prior to mounting and gluing the flares I anticipated this problem and fiberglassed the inside above the wheel in case I had to grind down the lower lip.
I am going to try to find 1/4 in spacers for the rear so I can mount 225s on the 8s. Has anyone come across this problem using wider wheels. The only alternative is to use 7s all around with 205 rubber [race].
Fuchs are expensive.
I could change out the studs and not use any spacers too.

Any thoughts.

I'm thinking it's an issue of offset - adding the width on the outside...
