|
|
Well it was pretty late and i was driving back from a friends house. The road is very narrow, no lites or anything. Anyway i admit i was going a little fast, maybe 50-60mph and went over a dip in the middle of an intersection i was going through. Its hard to explain exactly what i went over, i guess you can consider it sort of like a speedbump, just it was a bit more shallow. The front did not ground out however it felt very rough on the suspension. I guess you can say i have a guilty conscience about it. The car handles just like it always has so i assume no damage or aynthing. Just i was wondering for future reference what type of damage can be caused by running over a bump in the road like this? _________________ 1987 Zermatt Silver Porsche 924S <-- Sold in Nov. '04

Unless you actually ground out, the only likely thing would be changing your alignment. _________________ Vaughan Scott

| I have to creep into my driveway because there is a steep slant to the sidewalk. I have to approach it at 45 degres or I scrape my front valence. Any other car can enter at about 30 kph and take a bounce but I crawl and pray. |

I'd check if the tie rods aren't bent, just for peace of mind. Man, that comment about the shorts reminded me of this one girl at school.........oh man _________________ 1979 Porsche 924 "S"

Its summer time, the girl in the passenger seat and the girls in the convertables next to me seem to like playing tag at high speeds...i dont get it. Man i gotta slow it down, damn peer pressure. I tell myself "take it easy today, i dont need a ticket or an accident". But once i have the girl in the seat next to me..its over. _________________ 1987 Zermatt Silver Porsche 924S <-- Sold in Nov. Nice grammar there buddy. Come on, we are allowed to make fun of mr. can't shift here. I rag on my boy's firebird all the time cause he is always wanting to race me, i just ask where his clutch is, his girl finds it helarious. needless to say, he doesn't _________________ 90 944 S2

ok...i got the car for FREE! Oh yes and when my daddy asked me what type of Porsche i want, i said auto..yea right. I was lucky with what i got and im not gonna throw it back in his face saying "YOU IDIOT, I WANTED A 5-SPEED". Dont think im some spoiled rotten kid who gets a bimmer for their first car then crashes it around a tree. I worked my ass off for 3 years to rebuild a 3-speed manual Mustang, i can drive stick just fine. I dont get why everyone is so "i drive stick shift, im more of a man than you." What the hell is the big deal? And its not like i actually had a choice when my dad got this car for me. I think it takes more talent to work a clutch on my MANUAL 3-SPEED mustang than it does to on a Porsche or a Honda or a Nissan for that matter.
Seriously though, whats the big deal if someone (in particular a man buying a sportscar) dosent drive stickshift? A quote from a kid i know in his profile.
"Real men drive stick shift, any other who dosent is a #### pussy"
those are exact words. Please enlighten me. _________________ 1987 Zermatt Silver Porsche 924S <-- Sold in Nov. '04
