Well, thats the way it goes! You could have sold the hood and back hatch to recoop your investment and parted the rest of the car out for yourself. But, that's the fun of bidding on Ebay. Won't be the first or last time! _________________ 78 924 - The eternal project car |

Actually I was thinking of keeping it and restoring it. I was going to ask
-nick if I could borrow his wallet. |

too bad your timing is a little off, everything that was once in my wallet is now coming in the mail in quite a few large boxes...
that car would have a been a steal at that price just for parts if it was nearby. you gotta get a little gutsy with the ebay bidding!

Its killing me! I know the pics of it are crappy, but damn it looks like it was in pretty decent shape.
Ah just as well, I just started detrimming, and catagorizing all the little parts in sandwich bags on the 78 to get it ready for body work and a repaint. So much to do, so little time. And all the honey-do stuff in between. |

Are you doing all paint and body work yourself? or just prepping it for someone else?
Hopefully the 931 went to a "new" Porsche owner who will love it and restore it as we would
Better luck next time _________________ 1978 924 n/a |

Doing it all myself. I have a neighbor bringing a stud welder over this weekend so that I can pull out some of the dents I have in the roof. Maybe time permitting, I may be able to paint it this year. This will be my first attempt at bodywork and paint. So I will take my time ask questions and do it right. Maybe if I`m lucky I can con my neighbor buddy to shoot the final coats on it. He is a professional painter. |
