Why does your Posche have to running to go there? Hell, if you are going to a swap, make a list of the parts you need, or take some of your own. |

I will be going. Because the place is large and we have hundreds of people some moving at a snails pace and others rushing with walkie talkies it is difficult to notice anyone.
I suggest that somewhere on our body or baseball hat we wear out screen name. I have gone for the past ten years and rarely met people that I know much less some I never met.
Some are looking for parts others slither around in the parking lot.
I probably will be wearing some kind of shirt or hat with a 924 on it.
Just to rub it in I will be in Europe for three weeks prior to Hershey. Ahhh
Venice under water in the spring. Wonderful. |

I plan on going. I met Diesel and Vince last year, so hopefully we can meet again. Paul....I think I recall seeing on an earlier post that you used to live in State College and had a sports car repair shop. Was it Sports Car Prep.? I grew up in the State College area (actually Boalsburg). I was into MGB's in the late 70's early 80's while in college at PSU. I'm a graphic designer and did some artwork for Bruce back in the 80's. _________________ Mike

| Small world, yes it was Sports Car Prep. Bob, Bruce, and I started it. I left in 1978 and lost track of the guys shortly thereafter. I had a full time staff job at Penn State, but found time to work on mainly Fiats which were a very popular car (cheap) for students. |

I had a Fiat X19 back in 82. It was actually Bruce that told me that he always recommended that when you buy a Fiat, you buy a butane diposable lighter the same day, and when the lighter runs out of butane, throw out the lighter and the Fiat. I guess he didn't share your love of Fiats. _________________ Mike

I owned several X 1/9s and 128s, had a lot of fun, but they needed to be worked on a lot.
Is Sports Car Prep still alive and well? |

If you guys would like, we could meet at one of the vendor booths called VAS Enterprises. He sells helmets, race shoes, race suits, gloves etc.
I am usually with him.
As I said we should have some method of identifyimg ourselves. I could have some name tags available for us to use.
Regards |
