| does anyone have any experience with both systems (like the ones at perf prod). can't you get an aftermarket rev limiter with the msd, could that override the factory limiter on the 931. |

I have experience with both the Jacob's and the MSD...
To get rid of the limiter on the 931? I don't know how that could be done... The limiter is somewhere in the ignition... that is an interesting question.
Both Jacob's and MSD have a rev-limiter...
Both systems will give you the same increase in power...
But only Jacob's has some extra goodies that MSD doesn't have. Jacob's recognizes if your car mis-fires and trys to get that cyl to firee.. It works.
Jacob's helps starting issues... It works
Jacob's ignition is not TOTALLY HOT ALL THE TIME... very important is this may limit your advance when not on the throttle. Jacob's is much more powerful than stock ignitions, but does not have to go hot until you are on the throttle.
Just get the literature on the Jacob's system. What they promise will be cured or improved- THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH!
I am very impressed with both systems but feel the Jacob's is the better one for street applications.
Unfortunatly I am getting rid of my Jacob's... I have to because I am going for the Electromotive distributorless ignition system...
wanna buy my old Jacob's ?

The MSD 6 comes without a rev limiter and the 6a is with. The Jacobs is I think around
$200 bucks more. I have the rev limiter separate I love it its cheaper than the jacobs also..

what jacobs are we talking about here? the Jacobs street Pro has multiple spark like the MSD.
The jacobs Omni magnum doesn't, just one spark. Its the cheaper one at $250
Can anyone tell me if there are differences in the ones u need to get for a car? like can't i put one from a lexus on a porsche?> why do tehy have different part numbers in the catalogue, is it just the mounting bolts that are different. |
