My car starts without any issues however I have seen so many posts about the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition on (but not cranking).
My car has never done this. I have removed the fuel pump relay (see attached) and it looks good to me.
Just wondering why this might be?

I've got the same relay, and mine doesn't cycle the pumps with the key on. As far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything until it gets the ignition signal (pulls off the coil circuit), and it shuts off a second or two after the ignition stops - I can hear the pump run momentarily when I shut if off. My Mercedes with KE-jet cycles the pumps when you turn the key on - if you just turn the key to run, you can hear them come on for a few seconds, then stop. I think that was common to KE-jet cars, but I don't know if any K-jet cars had that logic built into them. _________________ 1980 931 diamond in the rough |

Thanks, I watched a YT video with a 924 the same year as mine and his did not prime either.
Yeah, I can hear mine run for a split second after I finish cranking.
As I said, it starts on the button now. _________________ '84 924 2.0 NA |
