Anyone know how the silver color bbs wheels were made? Painted silver or diamond cut faces? Can't tell on mine, looks like it was just painted, but I swear i remember seeing something about diamond cut faces. I have the weissach and the wheels like below.

Might have seen it here, but would like some documentation to validate. I have the promo fold out and it doesn't mention it.
ideola;"For what it's worth, those appear to be the special edition wheels unique to the 1981 924 Weissach Special Edition cars. The standard 4-lug ATS basket weave wheels were powder coated black, and then had the face machined and cleared in natural aluminum. A close up pic should reveal the original machining on the face of the silver "spokes" and lip."

They are indeed black inserts with machined faces and clear coat over the top - I know this as when I got mine the clear coat had started to lift on a number of them! _________________ 1982 924 2.0 Lux
