Anyone know---will a fuel accumulator for a 911 work for a 924? The 911 PN is 0438 170 002 and the 924 PN is 0438 170 024. Do you know the difference? They look the same.

It's dependent on the CIS fuel pressure and demand. Also possibly the angle and style/size of the fittings. If pressure between the 924 and 911 is the same, it should work.....

It seems this one BOSCH 0 438 170 040 works like a charm. I think inlet or outlet needs an adapter to a different size. One of the guys from Polish 924 forum did it and is very happy with it.

Seems to cost about the same as the correct one that don't need any adapters. Or can you find it significantly cheaper anywhere?

Cedric,
I have been searching for a lower cost new accumulator. So far, I find the correct PN 0438170024 is about $250. The one that kondzi mentions 0438170040 is about $117. That is about 1/2 the price of the 0024. Maybe I just cannot find the correct vendor to get the 0024 at a lower price.
Thanks for your comment.

That's the one I have. 120 euros from Amazon vs. 250 for the porsche one. (Live in the Netherlands)

Physical dimensions are the same, but 1 of the fittings is bigger than the porsche one.

I soldered a small connector that fits the fuel hose and bigger fitting, but still have to find time to mount it to the car.
