I owned 4 of those in the 70's. 2 1969s and 2 1970s (one was a parts car).
One of the 69s had a crane cam and hooker header, could burn rubber starting from a dead stop in 2ond gear. Could do 123 mph. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

In the 80's one of my best friends dropped a 3 liter Ford V6 into one. Man that was fun ! _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive

I'm trying to talk that guy into buying one
He has a 2010 WRX that is kindof quick..
For how big the car feels it scoots a bit at 17lbs of boost but isn't overly impressive..
I'm getting the M3 finished off for DD duty with a sound system and that new uniden R3 radar detector on this set of days off then hopefully I can get to finishing the wiring and vacuum plumbing on the 931 on my next set of days off or something..
The M3 is pretty nice but you know that feel when you lust after a car for years and years, finally get one, and then it's not all you've dreampt of afterall..
Kindof how a girl can be more sexy in launderette, leave a little misery..
The GF is infatuated with wanting a 3.0 6 speed X5 now so will prolly have to find one for her within too long..
The subie is getting old at around 240k now and might get retired soon though I just turned down a serious $4500 offer on it.. I guess they are coming up in value but it needs a body swap.. The guy gets all butthurt when I show him videos of me offroading in it like a subaru is meant for pavement or something he thinks..
I still think the 931 has the potential to be a better sports car than that WRX, my RS, or my M3, even on stock suspension with some boost tuning, the 931 is where it's at for that feel..
I should probably stop spending money on cars and buy some investment property but it's not easy..
I wonder what it'd be like to be that guy that is perfectly happy in his accord..
I got myself almost a "dream job" now if you like the idea of having a good bit of money but having no time to spend and enjoy it because you are never home, but my affinity for machines is finally paying off..
It's pretty easy work but long hours and kind of stressful being the guy responsible for feeding $40,000,000 worth of machines running almost 40,000 horse power..
All that power blasting is a sight to see though I'm tellin ya.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |
