In our continued effort to become your preferred one-stop shop for all things 924, Ideola's Garage is now an authorized reseller of Only944 products, many of which work for the 924 and 931. If you're not familiar with Kyle's product line, you should be!
Audi-based Shifting Components
Only944 makes what many of us believe is the best short shifter on the market for the Audi-based 5-speed transaxles. These are suitable for 1980-onward NAs, US-Spec 1981-82 931, all 944 variants, and of course the 924S. (NOTE: These will NOT work on the early 924 NA 4-speed Audi box). In addition, when you combine his short shifter with his improved shift lever and improved rear shift linkage arm, it absolutely transforms the shifting experience.
Audi-based Short Shifter: $93
Audi-based Shift Lever: $63
Audi-based Linkage Arm: $24
PM me for details and a custom invoice to receive an introductory discount if you want to purchase all three shifting components together.
Replacement Weather Seals
The other really great product that Kyle has brought to market are AFFORDABLE replacement weather seals for the 924 and 944. How many of us are sick and tired of noxious fumes being sucked into the cockpit? Or how about those annoying leaks around the sunroof seals that are ruining your seats and carpet? Can't stomach the cost of OEM seals at over $100 each?!?!?! These replacement seals are as good as OEM at a fraction of the cost. Check 'em out:
Rear Hatch Seal: $69
Hood Seal: $21
Main Sunroof Seal: $57
Secondary Sunroof Seal: $15
As above, PM me for details and a custom invoice to receive an introductory discount if you want to purchase all four seals together.
Firewall Brace
We are also offering Kyle's excellent firewall brace, which we personally used in our 1978 NA tub for the D-Production project to convert it from manual to hydraulic clutch. This brace reinforces the firewall where it is prone to stress fractures, and includes a properly angled shim to maintain the correct geometry for the clutch master push rod. While installation is not a trivial task, it is well worth the peace of mind and improvement in pedal feel. Kyle's kit includes everything you need for installation, along with excellent illustrated instructions, which are also available on our site.
Firewall Brace: $115

Dan, how about that exterior cloth covered seal for the sun roof. Will one of the ones you offer take care of it? _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

There are only two seals for the sunroof: one that goes on the panel, and one that goes on the body. The one that goes on the panel often separates and appears to be two seals, but it's actually one. I think this is the one you are referring to; the primary seal is a replacement for this seal. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
