The Ign distributer is hitting the hood when cornering. Is this common? Does it represent a bad engine mount? I have already moved the hood rearward as much as possible & hammered the seam away from the distributor. But it's still contacting the Beru distributor which has lead to a broken rotor. I'm inclined to raise the hood at the back but the lines match up nicely (looks like proper fitment). Thoughts? I can't lower the engine mounts can I?

Wrong engine mount? Wrong dizzy? Wrong dizzy instalation...is it fully home pushed into the head? i think it should, otherwise oil would come out...but do a check.
I'd expect if an engine mount failed the engine going lower not higher.
Dont do any mods, there is no way with original parts that the dizzy makes contact to anything.

Except if the housing is installed wrong. . .remember it has two sets of mounting holes.
