Not quite sure what your point is. We all know the pistons are different between the engine models.
Did you happen to find a set that were actually 'different' than the factory slugs from various versions ? i.e. a custom set or something someone has roughly cross-referenced from a different manufacturer and installed in a 924 block ?

I have 4 complete sets of those in boxes. Standard S1 slugs.

The S2 piston has been det'ing like a good 'un _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife
