I just finished installing the side glass in my drivers door, but it was an absolute pain in the ass. Is there an easy way so I can save some time on the passenger side?
The car is a '88 924S with power windows. Is there also a way to move the window up and down without attaching the battery |

remove the power window motor.
Or use a small jump battery and test leads. _________________ Stefan

I use a jumper battery or small charger sometimes. Why not just use the electric from the car?
The windows are pretty easy to R&R if you do it right.
Start with the window down.
Remove the rearward track (held into the door with 2 screws/bolts).
Remove the bolts for the regulator.
You should be able to slide the regulator off the track of the window now. You may need to slide the window up to make room to disengage the regulator from the track.
When the window is free, turn it front side down then lift it out of the door.
Installation is opposite of removal. |
