1. As you know, on the 78, the fuel pump is activated by the lifting of the metering plate-which mine does fine. The other day with the ignition on, I wiggled the 7 pin fuel injection harness connector T7A, (near the coil) and the fuel pump started running. I wiggled it again, and it stopped. Would this indicate that the circuit is being completed somewhere in the harness?
2. I accidentally had my shifter in gear and hit the starter. The car lunged forward. What??? Isn't there a clutch safety circuit in there somewhere? I can't seem to find anything on the wiring diagrams
thanks

1. Yup. You'll want to pull it apart, clean, inspect and repair the harness and connectors.
2. Nope. Only cars with Cruise received a clutch switch, but that was only for the cruise, not for a starter interlock. Clutch interlock wasn't required. _________________ Stefan
