Those more experienced than me, please advise:
Fuel tank cleaned and coated, new internal pump, new external pump, etc. Accumulator cleaned and seems okay. All hoses and connections at the rear are in good shape and cleaned out with Berryman B-12. Except....
The long, thin, cloth wrapped fuel return hose that clips to the forward edge of the fuel tank and connects to a shut off valve by the filler neck. The other end connects to a fuel return line that comes from up front. This end of the hose was a PITA to slide off the return line and getting it back on is just not working. The end is hard and it began to crack as I attempted to slide it over the return line's rubber casing. I'd prefer not to drop the tank again and replace the line....can't find one anyway. Unless someone knows a better solution, it seems my options are to cut off the hard end and see if I can make it work, or splice in a new piece of hose.
Please, if you have done work with this hose, let me know what you think. Either of the above options seem do-able, but I am concerned that this may be a high pressure line.
