Hi guys,

So the 924S lemons car is finally getting a coilover kit, sprayed matt black for cheating purposes

My question is what camber plates should I purchase? They seem to range from $100-$400 searching from Pelican parts to eBay . Remember this car is track only.

What set have you guys used and had success with? Should I get just camber or the camber/caster plates?

Cheers,
Jason.

Ground Control sells the very best plates, hands down. My race car has their top mount units, with integrated brace, and my 931 has bottom mounts.

+1. I have a set of these on my Club Sport and Wide Body projects.

KLA also make a non-adjustable version that are very nice as well, if you are not allowed to use the Ground Control adjustable units. I have a set of these on my 88 SE. http://www.klaindustries.net/products/products-1.htm

Racer's Edge also has very nice adjustable units. http://www.racersedge-inc.com/racersedge/rehome.nsf/0/6FB36C27F1511A5E8525718E0044D28E?open&id=9.3.4

Stay away from the Mookeh crap.

Just bought the ground contol top mount for my next IT-B SCCA car. As Rasta says, it's the best. If you want to be legal for the series you run in, ignore.....

For LeMons, just add material to the strut towers and slot or re drill the towers to get the needed camber.

You don't need camber plates for adjustable spring perches and 2.5" springs. The top hats can fit with the stock strut tops.

On our ChumpCar Shadow build we flame wrenched the strut tops and welded in new tips to fit WRX struts. No penalty laps, lowered the car and we gained negative camber.

I use new oem mounts and coil over, works fine. Just needed a lite spacer on top of the rod so the coil over spring seat would clear the top mount. I get - 2.9 degrees of camber by the std adjuste.

I have Ground Control top mounts on the '82 and bottom mounts for the '81. I like their bearing design.
