I have a 10 bar oil pressure gauge where a 5 bar should be located. I haven't been able to find one, and haven't tried that hard either. So, was wondering if I could swap out the sender with one from a 924/turbo which uses the 10 bar gauge? Or, does it make any difference which sender is installed?

Currently, the oil pressure pegs at 10, but will drop down a bit once oil is heated. But, have an oil leak around the lower balance shaft area and need to figure out if I have too high of oil pressure forcing out the oil. This was an engine-out reseal, with a 951 oil cooler and one-piece OPRV. This is not a BP gulf oil spill-like leak, more annoying than anything.

Sender range should match the gauge's range to actually be useful.

Find a 5bar gauge or a 10 bar sender. Problem solved.
