|
|
I'm not sure what these things are supposed to be called (I've always always called them bump shocks). The shocks /bumper mounts to the 24/44...
I know some people squash them back by hole and screw, but what I'd like to know is what's behind the 51's? Is there a shorter shock, do they only have a mount, what all is under that plastic?
I'm planning a bit of a fun project with an S, and was curious about my options, and if one might still retain a factory safety standard, (for purpose of inspection sticker reliability -mostly).
Thanks.

Easy button would be to buy a set of Euro bumpers for a 924 which fit the body more tightly and are factory pieces so they will pass inspection.
951's use a completely different bumper and bumper overlay. Length is more or less the same. The 951 pieces do bolt up, but would need to be matched up with the wider front quarters, nose panel and headlight covers as they are all different between the 951 and 924S. _________________ Stefan

... and that answers it completely -I've got plans.
I very much appreciate your thorough explanation. I didn't necessarily want to fab something, not if a workable solution might be found on ebay. But knowing this, it may be just as well. Once again, thank you.
