A colleague of mine into racing motorcycles saw this on a members-only forum; what looks like a new race track being built by Porsche here on the island.
It's apparently in the Cowichan Valley, outside Duncan BC.
Here's a PDF of the forum discussion. Apparently the folk on that forum can be a little immature.
Pretty darned cool! _________________ 78 924 NA

Nice.
Considering the loss of Westwood up in Canada and now SIR (Pacific Raceways) is now up for sale, the more tracks the better before the originals are all gone to golfers and condo builders.... _________________ Stefan

| They are building a test track at the new North American headquarters in Atlanta too. I hope to one day take my car out there. |

More details...
Looks like they've shredded the original design and have come up with something way better. _________________ 78 924 NA

Must have overlooked this somehow. Where did you see the new design? _________________ Toofah King Bad

Considering that every high school parking lot is filled with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, BMW M cars and the like, I'm actually surprised they haven't built something like this already. If I had a spare $30K I would join Jacques private car club..
As it stands I am headed down to The Ridge on Saturday to go for a spin in a good customer's GT3 RS and his mate's Cup Car. (:

My source for this indicated such, and they list a new design firm on the new website. _________________ 78 924 NA
