Some previous owner removed the egr valve so I'm wondering if I still need the vacuum amplifier and the the vacuum reservoir? I still need vacuum for the flap actuators for the factory a/c but I could just connect right to where the original line taps off the brake booster.

Not really,.. all it does is reroute vacuum from the vacuum tank to the EGR to open during deceleration when there is no vacuum from the engine. Since you don't have an EGR, it's pointless. Everything else can be routed as you suggested. |

Ok..I'm plumbing up the vacuum lines. With the amplifier removed, how does one hook up one of the lines to the distributor? Isn't it "expecting" amplified vacuum on one side of the advance? The other side goes to the throttle valve housing. _________________ 78 924 |
