1. When using the Stage 8 locking bolts on the half shafts should the 2 hole clamp plates be under the bolts or deleted. It looks like there would be a better seal under that thin metal cover with them.
2. I assume an oil temperature sender should be upstream of the remote filter. The remote filter found a nice home in the headlight well, obviously the headlights are gone. I'll find out as I start the very expensive cooler plumbing nightmare.
Another thing I found, when using a 951 radiator, the main hoses are nominal 1-1/2" vs the 1-1/4" standard of the 924. Pegasus Racing has silicone reducers(all sizes) and aluminum connectors, not cheap but available.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Mike

Use all of the original hardware on the CV joints except for the bolts themselves.
Oil temp sender is best in the oil pan. On a couple of NAs, I've used the extra port that is normally for the 931 air-oil-separator return line; on a couple of 931s, I've drilled and tapped the drain plug. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
