I've heard that these wheels could fit our cars. Will they bolt right on and i can drive with them or do i need any type of adapters to make them work. I'm just not sure if the offsets will work or not.
I have an 80 turbo with the m471 sport package. Thanks |

Check the ET first, I bought a set and tried (they were so cheap). But had to sell them on, ET was a tad to high so I needed spacers both front and rear. But it depends alot on your wheel alignment. I had to live with a set of D90s from a 964 C4 that was bolt on instead. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

they are 7j X 16" 65 ET fronts and 8j X 16" 52.3ET rears.
So apparently they are identical in offsets to the D90's but the widths are a little different.
D90's are 7.5" and 9" widths yeah? |

Those 928 flat dishes come in 2 offsets like you mentioned. I have 16x7 et52 all around on my car. 205's up front and 225 rears. Here's another link.

And a bad cell phone pic of them...

| damn kcoyle your 924 looks pretty good. just curious as to how you have 7's with 52.3 ET, that site you linked shows the 7's as 65, which are the fronts for the 928. |

The coil over kit is from Paragon, they are good guys. The kit is cheap and works fine.
In general, I'm not a fan of the chrome (or in this case polished) look but it's actually ok on the car. I'm also not a fan of most of the modern looking wheels on a 924. They tend to look out of place. I decided to stick with the upgrade option wheel from Porsche with a little added flash (polishing) to set them apart.
If I wanted to go with something from Porsche that was a little more updated, I'd probably go with a Cup wheel. Even so, I think Cup wheels looks better on a 944 or a CGT/944 bodywork car like Morghen's.
The only other option I considered was some race inspired look. Maybe a Fiske, Forgeline, or BBS-RG _________________ '81/'81/'82 |

Thanks, that's the pretty side.
The rims were from a 944 turbo IIRC. I believe the originals were staggered but this guy had 4 of the same size for his snow tires. i think they have a 944 part number. Probably in the 944 PET. _________________ 1982 931- Stock with MBC at 8psi

Here you go.
Crazy old thread but you get the idea
I have since gone to a set of concave 944 turbo cup wheels.

| you guys and your shiney paint and wheels, im so broke im going to be plasti-dipping over my scratched up silver just to make it seem less of a heap of junk. Sinse its going to be a fun car and i've stripped almost everything out of it, i was going to experiment with plastidip and go with a camo tan color, like a military type. when ever i get around to it (some years from now im sure) i'll post pics. |
