This cruise is open to all, so if you are in the area and your 924/944 is not currently running, you will fit right in, so be sure invite your friends!

Also, if you're a 924/944 owner in NC or SC, be sure to join us on facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1284970838308192/1287724801366129/?ref=notif&notif_t=group_activity

We will be meeting up beside the Belk at Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville October 19th at noon. We will be taking the Blue Ridge Parkway South for 50 miles, stopping to take pictures and to chat along the way. Also, we will be stopping for a picnic lunch, so bring a cooler packed with your favorite snacks. Be sure to bring a jacket or dress for cold weather; as we will be reaching elevations of 6000ft.

Once in Waynesville, Interstate 40 is easily accessed for your return home.

For those of you driving in from the east, some of us will be meeting up across from the Denny's at Cleveland Mall in Shelby, NC around 10AM.

From there, we will be traveling up the scenic route. This will take us up hwy 64 through Lake Lure for a quick Mountain run before the event. If you have never been through here before, you are in for a real treat!

Just let us know if you plan on joining us!

Thanks!

This isn't a Porsche specific event, so you are welcome to drive anything; even if its a Hemi Taurus.

I can see if our Del Sol can make it out there

If not maybe I can bring the Sequoia and cart around everyone's coolers for them.

Either way I hope I can make it out

Bump! I hope to see you guys in the morning!

Edit: I also wanted to mention that since no one is coming at 9AM for breakfast, that I won't be at the Shelby meeting spot till about 10AM. There is a McDonalds in the same parking lot if you want to get breakfast there. Since we are meeting up with another guy on the way up to Asheville, we will need to leave as close to 10 as possible. You can PM me if you want my number so you can text me if you are running behind.

Rasta, I haven't seen him around in a while either. I think he lives in Illinois... been there a few years now.

Anyway, thanks for coming out, guys! I hope that next time things will go a little smoother. We had three people message me that they couldn't make it due to mechanical issues. Then, on the way up we ran into some traffic which kept slowing us down and getting us separated. Afterwards, two guys had to leave before we got to Asheville. Once in Asheville, we met up with another 944, but we left one behind because they were running late and we didn't have any way of knowing. But despite all that, we managed to have a few cars come out.

Here's a few of my pictures.

You can see the rest of them here:

That S2 does look great. I gotta say, I spent a lot of time looking at it in the mirrors.

I was playing around with some of the photos and thought I'd post them in this thread too.
