The 924's crossmember will need to be modified to hold the 944 engine mounts and the 924's motor mount ears will need to be removed.
The 944's crossmember could be installed (requiring welding mounting studs to the frame).
The Hydraulic clutch parts will need to be added, including drilling the firewall. I would brace the firewall while you're in there.
The transaxle mount, fuel tank, fuel lines and brake lines will all be different.
Gauges and dash are completely different. Luckily its been done using early 944 bits (check out the 951 into 924 swap in the engine swap section for details on that).
I'm sure there's more, but thats just off the top of my head while thinking about the differences between my 79 924 and my 88 951S. _________________ Stefan
