| I have a 924 that's been off the road for ten years. I can get the car to fire up, but if I hit the gas the mixture door doesn't open, but it revs up fine if you manually push the mixture door open. Im not very experienced in german cars, I can work on 6v systems and fords all day. looking for an idea of where to start on this car. |

Look for, buy and read any and all Bosch CIS mechanical fuel injection books.
Buy a CIS pressure gauge set. Read up on how to use it.
Buy a set of manuals for the 924.
Once you do that, come back and we can discuss what is needed from there.
More than likely you'll need to have the fuel distributor rebuilt to clean out the gummed up old fuel and replace worn out O-rings and the hoses.
You'll need to verify and adjust the fuel pressures once everything is rebuilt/repaired.
Old rubber hoses should be replaced as well along with flushing the tank. _________________ Stefan
