I seem to recall a couple people saying their cars passed without a cat. If you have, what were your HC numbers?
Also, if you have had a aftermarket cat installed, I would appreciate pics. _________________ Toofah King Bad

When I went through AZ. Emissions 20 years ago;
HC. CO. NOX
Standard 2.0 60 3.0
1st test. 2.96 121.3 .5
2nd test. .43 7.2 .5
The cat was punched out & the only change between tests was a mixture screw adjustment. The car ran a bit rough at idle and I took it easy on it. It was readjusted after passing. |

Ooooh, I just found this horrifying piece:
In other good news, 3 Porsche converters still exist, all are in Germany, and the cost is a mere $1300! _________________ Toofah King Bad

$225 spent, generic (but large diameter) CAT welded in, HC knocked down from 260 to 17.
Whew.
