Chris,

I don't have one installed but according to the "Clymer - Service + Repair Handbook" that came with my '80 924, the BAE bolt on kicks in at 3500 RPM and changes your 0-50 time to 6.1 sec, 0-70 10.8sec. No 0-60 time given. Top speed 125phm.

Sounds like it juices thing up a bit - the 1980 NA 924 is rated at top speed 120mph, 0-62 in 11.2 secs. The '80 924 turbo is rated at 0-62 in 9.4 secs, top speed 132mph. (according to the owner's manual)

I've been looking around for a BAE - where did you find it and do they have another?

Kev

The Bae turbo where built in the late 70's and did improve mid/top end performance. With the stock fuel system i would limit 6-8lbs of boost.
add a rich/lean mixture gauge and a boost/timing unit ( jacobs ) to make sure you do not detonate the engine too much. The original BAe turbo kitted
924 where as fast as the 931 ( us). The best after market kits where the Callaway Sytems where an 1982 924 was clocked at 14.9 et at 12lbs of boost.

I have a BAE install instruction book. I can make copies or see if John will post it on this site.
