In the last two days I had a problem in that it will not go into reverse. I think it is a linkage problem. Any ideas and or fixes.
It is not the Audi tranny. It will be the first serious problem in 13 years I have owned it.
Thanks as always

Probably the bushings in the rear, though that usually causes issues with other gears and the shifter is noticeably sloppy when in a gear.
I'd it is just reverse, you may have a problem internal to the transaxle. _________________ Stefan

Have you ever replaced the plastic bushings in the shifter or the bushing at the tranny. Notorious for wearing out and causing problems not to mention synchro wear.
