Different location: look deeper, next to your HVAC,
just under the dash is where you'll find the relay.
The one for the radio is also in that area
(in my case (LHD) next to the gas pedal…)

Finally, the power window relay - where is it??? According to Lars, on his car it is located up under the dash near the steering column and the OXY sensor unit. It should have a fuse incorporated into its construction that may need to be replaced if your power windows have stopped working. On 931's, it appears to be clipped to a metal brace above the center hump, on the driver's side, like the relay for the radio (often not present anymore). |
btw. Welcome aboard! |

Saw that earlier but no mention of electric mirrors. Also the drivers works but no feed to the passenger.
Will look under dash tomorrow. _________________ Trust, Then Verify |

Regarding the passanger side electric mirror:
Make sure the passenger side electric mirror is hooked up propperly to the main electrical harness.
Note: The passenger side mirror was optional and so is the switch and harness.
It could be added later on onto the electrical harness.
The mirror can be operated by switching the button near the ashtray on the centercolumn.
Remove the ashtray to see if the switch is propperly connected.
Adjusting the passenger electric side mirror is controled by the same “joystick” by flippin' the switch in the center column.

The previous owner supplied a mirror off a 944 and my sparky mate reckons he can sort out the electrics as the switch is in the main centre console.
The hassle is although the drivers window works fine, there is no power to the passenger side and with not knowing the relay number we can't run an extra cable. It might be the drivers has been rewired using a spare relay or fuse but I just wanted to check if the drivers ran off a different one to the passengers? If it doesn't then I guess the number 8 IIRC is the one to run it from. _________________ Trust, Then Verify |
