I'm going for a cruise today and I am going to film Mulholland Drive! But,.. here is the question. I am not sure if I am going to have enough time to film the whole thing today. I am planning on breaking it into a few sections. My starting point is the 405, which splits from the touristy stuff like universal studios overlook, OR I can go the other way and hit the mountain ridges.

You decide! what do you want to see first?

This was the weirdest trip ever. So I did go to the mountains, however 7 miles of the road is no longer in service and you cannot drive on it. When I hit the other side it started to rain and the city was foggy. It's rained twice in almost a year here. I'd like to post the video, but let me look at it first, if it's crappy, I'll wait till a sunny day and redo it.

Must Read: "The Ghosts on Mulholland Drive", page 84 of the Feb 2014 issue of Automobile magazine.

Here's a good read about racing on Mulholland and about a customized 911.

Those are some awesome links! I remember reading about the chop top RSR in the day and actually had the magazine that the group picture of the covert guys near Grandstand was in. good memories, I grew up on the wrong coast.

The day just got weirder. went to transfer the 16GB of high Def to my computer and their was a glitch and lost the files. Ohh well, I was going to do it on a more sunny day anyway. Yesterday was a freak day anyway.

Went and re filmed, it's a short 6ish min edited down from 35 mins to keep it interesting. I got most of it edited, but I got to wait for the ok for the guy to use his music in the background. should be up soon!

Do you have to add music to the background?

Yes car video + music = boring (since we'll have to turn off the sound). Would much rather hear the engine noise. Just an opinion.

:/ I dunno,.. i just posted that I would post the raw video, but to be honest the audio is kinda meh,.. The camera used was a DLSR with an internal mic and there is a lot of clicking, and background noises. I would say just enjoy the 6 min one for now and when I get better equipment to mic the engine and exhaust separately I'll go back. If your really hard on for the raw video, I'll post a private link after a few days of the original online for the purists.

I wanna do this new channel the best I can with what equipment I can. Posting a long 35min+ unedited video won't attract a lot of people I think, especially when the audio kinda sucks.

Baby steps guys, I'll get there
