Has anyone installed a 951 piece?

I saw the earlier thread of the factory piece, but I think it looks really tacky the way it goes up on the side of the car.

For my 951 project, I am working on a modified version and may steal it for my 931 as well: I sanded off the side "flare" where it flares to match up to the wheel arch, I sanded it flush. I think it may work well with the 931 as well, and still have that "wing end" look

It's too wide for the 931, you need to do a fair bit of modifying to get it to fit and work out some way to make it work with the different side angles, not a simple bolt up,
