My driver's side sun visor clip broke the other day. This one only lasted 3 years. So while searching for a replacement set, I stumbled across a discussion on Rennslist regarding using a VW clip that has a metal loaded spring. This seems like a better design, and it even has a cover for the screws. Best part is, seems they are cheaper to buy than the Porsche ones, even the cheap knock off versions.

| The VW part numbers are correct and are much better quality that the Porsche. However, pricing is much higher. I talked the local VW/Porsche dealer down from $13 to $9. Not cheap but you gotta have them. |

Just ordered 'em. The VW parts guy said the clip-on dress cover part #'s didn't exist. According to him, you'll want to order:
3B0 857 563 Y20 . . . $1.70 . . . Pearl grey
3B0 857 563 B41 . . . $1.70 . . . Black
3B0 857 563 8YS . . . $1.70 . . . Light beige

Just called my local dealership, the guy said they were $16.19 each....
Pretty outrageous if you ask me |

Pelican has the factory ones for around $14 each, so not really.
