Is anyone able to identify this yellow and black wire for us, and/or where is connects (one the starter motor)..?

It runs to the starter motor but yet again, the manual isn't abundantly clear on what's supposed to happen down there.

Help me out, gurus?

(Oh, it's an '80 Turbo, in case you didn't know)

Obvious questions. . .

Have you identified the other wires? Has the process of elimination determined where it goes?

What colour wire is it on the other side of the connector?

It looks like that's T3a.

On page 263 of Haynes, it says for T3a that there's red with black stripe (the big one in your picture at the top), a black, and a black. Pretty clear that's a misprint. The biggest wire (red with black stripe) goes to 50 on your starter, the medium wire goes to 15a on your starter, and the skinny wire goes to D+ on your alternator.

It looks like the other side of that connector is supposed to have a blue wire connected to the wire that goes to D+. I wonder, did they get the wire colours backwards on either side of the connector?

Yeah, we're not sure, either. That's why I'm asking.

Should be 50 then, given the wire colour on the other side and the size of the wire.
