First let me say hello, New to the forum and new to Porsche. Recently picked up a 1987 924s and have absolutely fallen in love with the car.

As time goes, I'm sure I'll frequent with more technical questions, but for now just have a question about a part that may or may not be missing..

I feel like I'm missing some trim that would go around the windshield wipers, (between the windshield and hood). Currently I have a gap where you can look in and see the battery etc.
I know there are drain holes in the tray but is there supposed to be some trim there?

Thanks,
Neill

Welcome aboard, this forum is an excellent source of information for 924 and a great community.
No you are not missing anything, it was built that way.
Pics, you need to post pictures of your car.
Cheers

While it may look a little funny its actually real practical to have that gap there cause it allows hot air to vent from your engine bay. You'll see jdm and vw guys that raise their hood at the back to achieve the same thing, so you'll never have to do that.

Welcome to the forum and like 924-76 said, we like pictures around here.

Green tartan interior, you don't see that on a Civic.

Except that the hood is sealed to the firewall with a rubber seal (typically).

Also the air flow at speed would push air into the area.
