When I went to turn off my lights after my morning commute the switch was stuck in the on position. I finally had to resort to pulling the whole switch out of the dash and disconnecting it entirely to get the lights to turn off. Now the lights are stuck up, but at least they are off. When I put the switch back in the headlights don't come on, just the running lights.
Is there any way to "un-stick" a frozen rocker switch or should I just get a new one? |

Sounds like you've melted the switch. Check the headlight wiring and relay on the side of the motor or you'll just melt your new one.
You can flip the headlights up by removing the rubber boot on the headlight motor and turning the dial on top. _________________ '84 944 -White, Brown interior

| no signs of melting. I was able to fix the rocker and get the lights down but something must have been wrong internally because the lights went up and down twice and then stayed down. A new switch fixed the problem. |
