I have several allen sockets, and even have one that fits. However, the fill plug appears to be on the passenger side hiding between the transmission mounts? Is that correct? If so, what is the procedure for getting that damn thing out?

Place jack under transaxle, lift slightly, remove offending mount, remove fill plug, lift transaxle enough to fill with fluid.

Reinstall plug, lower transaxle, reinstall mount.

Was hoping I was missing something or that I wouldn't have to do that. *sigh* ok.

If you have one of these:

...you can use a cutoff wheel to cut off about half of the Allen key. You can still use the socket as normal, and then you can use the part that you cut off with a 17mm wrench to get that one fill plug out without having to remove the tranny mount.

I need to look at mine, I don't recall removing anything but the plug. Maybe short arm allen key?
