|
|
Was taking out the engine and gearbox of a 931 I have when we found the pin through the clutch/bell housing solid and will not budge. Put screw in to try and pull etc without any luck,
so anyone any bright ideas on this? _________________ Life is about living, we all leave soon enough. |

You're talking about the shaft for the release bearing fork? There is a 'set-screw' on the backside that holds it in place; did you loosen that? There is a 'window' on the driver side of the housing. Take a screwdriver or something similar and drive out the rod from that end. Shine a light down there first to get an idea of the setup, there is a protruded aluminum (aluminium) 'stop' for the shaft when inserting it. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

A Grenadier your a genius !! Well more a genius than my brother although to be fair I did forget the manual but he has had enough experience of these cars and others to know that - guess so should I but I believed him when he said it just pushed in and nothing else !!
Just saves a clutch that would otherwise have been destined for the skip !! _________________ Life is about living, we all leave soon enough. |
